User avatar NYU_Stern Hi Dvir - you are correct - The 2025 Andre Koo Tech MBA program is test optional. Applicants will not be required to submit a standardized test score with their application, but may still do so if they feel it aids their candidacy. For applicants who have or submit a standardized test score (submitted with their application or previously sent to Stern), we will consider the standardized test score if it aids your candidacy. For a list of frequently asked questions about the test optional policy, please see the 2025 Tech MBA Standardized Test Optional FAQ's.

User avatar NYU_Stern The EQ Endorsement is a unique element of the NYU Stern application. We seek out exceptional individuals who possess both intellectual and interpersonal strengths. Emotional intelligence (EQ) skills such as self-awareness, empathy, communication and self-management are at the core of our community of leaders. Endorsers will be asked to provide a specific example demonstrating the applicant’s emotional intelligence. You are required to submit one EQ Endorsement with your application. A second EQ Endorsement is optional, but not required. Your EQ Endorsement must come from your current supervisor. If you cannot include an endorsement from your current supervisor, you must include an explanation in your application. Should you submit a second EQ Endorsement, it may come from someone who knows you professionally and/or personally. EQ Endorsements should come from individuals who can objectively assess your potential for success in NYU Stern's MBA program and in your future career, and who can act as a persuasive advocate of your EQ strengths.

User avatar NYU_Stern Hi KK, MBA Admissions does not offer preliminary assessment to students as we evaluate each candidate holistically across three dimensions throughout their complete application: academic profile, professional achievements and aspirations, and personal characteristics. We are looking for students with both intellectual and interpersonal strengths. We call this IQ+EQ. Many questions regarding specific eligibility requirements, including the GMAT/GRE, TOEFL, and academic transcript components of the application, can be answered by visiting the Admissions section of our website. We also encourage you to visit the Policies page for further details.

User avatar Sofer I have 11 years of experience. My post-MBA goal is to switch careers. Is it recommended to apply to the two year program?
06-30-2024
10:51:26 pm
User avatar NYU_Stern Hi Amit - thanks for your question. NYU Stern’s Full-Time and Focused MBA programs accept the GMAT, GRE, Executive Assessment Test (EA), MCAT, LSAT, and DAT. The standardized test is a required part of the Full-Time and Focused MBA program application and one of the tools we use to evaluate your academic profile. For most applicants, the standardized test is an essential way to establish academic readiness. To request a standardized test waiver for the Full-Time Two-Year, Andre Koo Tech MBA or Luxury & Retail MBA, applicants will be asked to submit the request form and upload the required documents. Those who provide strong examples of academic readiness (eg: strong analytical or quantitative undergraduate or graduate majors, professional work experience, certifications, etc.) may be more likely to receive a standardized test waiver. You may find more information on our website.

User avatar NYU_Stern The Admissions Committee evaluates each candidate holistically across three dimensions throughout their complete application: academic profile, professional achievements and aspirations, and personal characteristics. We seek students with strong intellectual ability, superior interpersonal skills, and a desire to create value for business and society. Many questions regarding specific eligibility requirements, including the GMAT/GRE, TOEFL, and academic transcript components of the application, can be answered by visiting the Admissions section of our website.
