Hello Brittany! What is the most important part of the application? What is the importance of the GMAT score in the MBA application?

Could you please describe the process of securing a scholarship and what scholarships are available for israelies?
Brittany Wisniewski
6/09 07:44PM
Hi Dor - we take a very holistic approach to evaluating applications, and all aspects are reviewed closely and considered as we get to know candidates. We look at GMAT and test scores to help assess your academic ability and ensure you can succeed in the classroom.

Hi Brittany- I don’t have much in extracurriculars. Does this negatively impact my profile?
Brittany Wisniewski

Hi Nadav - all applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships. Those are awarded based on the quality of your application and you receive those at the time of admission. International students can also apply for outside loans and scholarships but are not eligible for U.S. financial aid. You can learn more here: https://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/programs/full-time-mba/tuition-financial-aid.aspx
Hi Yuval - we see a lot of international students successfully land U.S.-based jobs post-Kellogg. It is worth noting that all of our programs are STEM designated so you have an additional year of OPT as well. That said, whether or not a job is open to international candidates is solely based on the employer's discretion. Our Employer Relations team actively works with our recruiting partners to identify roles that are open to our international students.

Hi Brittany , if I study in Chicago. do I get the same degree as Kellogg-Recanati (which is in Israel?) they told me I will get the same certificate at 1/4 of the price... (Sorry if I am blunt)
Brittany Wisniewski
6/09 07:52PM
Hi Noam - we do value extracurricular and community involvement because it is a good indicator of how involved and engaged you'll be at Kellogg and what your interests and passions are. That said, as I mentioned before we review every applicant with a holistic lens, so if you are lighter on extracurriculars but have strong work experience and academic performance, that would still make for a quality application
Hi Daniel - the Recanti s part of our Executive MBA Program and offers a very different student experience than our Full-Time MBA programs in Evanston/Chicago. I would encourage you to explore the programs and see which is best aligned to your current career stage and professional goals and select the one that makes the most sense for you

Hi Brittany, I am about to graduate my B.Sc. in engineering this summer. Right now I have experience only as a student, but a lot of management experience from my military service. How will it affect my chances to get accepted to Kellogg? And also, how it will affect my chances to get a good job offer in the tech industry after graduation?
Brittany Wisniewski
6/09 08:09PM
Hi Nick - great to hear about your interest in MMM. When you apply, you will select one program for which you want to be considered. After submitting, you can complete an "alternate program" form which allows you to indicate a secondary program of interest and share a brief essay about why that program appeals to you. We review candidates for both the primary and alternate programs they select.
Hi Tamar - no, we will not have test waivers.

Brittany, will you have fewer slots in your class due to deferrals from last year?
Brittany Wisniewski

Hi Ofek - we do not anticipate any changes in the amount of open seats or our class size due to deferrals

6/09 08:13PM
Hi Gal - we think it is important for candidates to have some work experience prior to coming to Kellogg as that helps you add value to class discussions and group projects. However, we also know military service provides great training as well and that would be factored in as part of your "professional" experience. Employers hiring Kellogg grads are generally looking for individuals with some prior work experience so that is important to keep in mind too. I would recommend waiting a few years post-B.S. to apply.

Brittany Wisniewski
6/09 08:15PM

Brittany, is there a major difference between the rounds
in terms of acceptance rate chances?
Also, I really need a shcolarship
does the round matter to my scholarship chances?
Brittany Wisniewski
6/09 08:21PM
Hi Dan - Rounds 1 and 2 are our largest in terms of application numbers and accepts. We also have more scholarship to award during these earlier rounds. We do admit people in Round 3 but it is generally a smaller number and we have less funds to give out at that stage of the process.
