The Darden School of Business is the graduate business school associated with the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Darden School offers MBA, Ph.D. and Executive Education programs. The School was founded in 1955 and is on the grounds of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Darden is regularly ranked as being among the Top 15 business schools in the U.S. and Top 30 in the world. Darden’s two-year MBA program combines core and elective courses in Charlottesville, Virginia with opportunities to study abroad.

Rather than lecture, our professors engage students in lively discussions using the case study method. Over the course of the MBA program, you will study more than 500 real-life business cases. Each case presents a set of decisions to be made, and you — as the decision-maker — must analyze the situation and express what you would do.

User avatar Darden_Virginia Sarah, nothing formal yet, but there is a growing community, so it wouldn't surprise me if we had a club for it in the next year or so

User avatar Darden_Virginia Just a few minutes left! Any final questions?
06-30-2024

User avatar Sarah Are there clubs, organizations, or networking events dedicated to students with family business backgrounds?

11:13:53 pm
User avatar Darden_Virginia Hi Haim! Our alumni network is a good size, but currently we don't have any Israelis at Darden. :( I'm trying to change that! In the past, we've had 1-2 in each class + some dual citizens.
06-30-2024
11:12:46 pm
User avatar Haim Hi Darden. how is the Israeli network of students ? how many Israelies study there every year?

User avatar Darden_Virginia It'll be extremely challenging to balance a part-time job during your first-year at Darden, therefor, no. But there's more flexibility during your 2nd year if you wanted to take on a research position or something.

11:09:52 pm
User avatar Harel Hi! Can I do part-time job while studying at Darden?

11:05:08 pm
User avatar Darden_Virginia International students are limited to certain job opportunities post-grad, but that's not unique to Darden. Our international students have a high placement rate, just as our domestic students do. Our program is also STEM-designated, so you have 3 years to work in the US post-grad.
06-30-2024
11:03:45 pm
User avatar Noa How should international students who are impacted by visa restrictions position themselves to be competitive with other applicants? Do domestic students have an advantage when applying to your programs?

User avatar Darden_Virginia It's important for everyone to keep in mind, regardless of background, you need to highlight for us your experiences (where you've been), tell us where you'd like to go (your career plan), and note how the Darden MBA can help you along the way (achieve your goals).
